The story of human existence is really the story and evolution of human consciousness. As cultures evolve, so does their search for meaning and understanding. All of our ancestors, across time and distance, across every culture, have looked up to the heavens contemplating the nature and power of creation. What is this force behind creation? What is our relationship to the all powerful? What is the purpose and source of our existence? Because we, as humans, have self awareness, we can also contemplate the nature of our relationships to the Creator. We have been created out of the same...

- Por Mercedes Fernández – HOY
March 5, 2010

Our Native Ancestors kept and maintained detailed records of time and the entire history of creation, recorded as far back as human awareness was able to be recorded. These Great Grandparents of ours carved twenty five thousand years of life and evolution on the face of the pyramids and stones.
By examining the patterns of time and the movement of the planets, our Great Grandparents were able recognize that life moves in beautiful and predictable patterns. These patterns can be measured and studied so that, we as humans, can move in sync with the dance of Creation. To move with the rhythm...

We are all on a journey of self discovery. We are born in time and in flesh and are here to live and breathe the experience necessary to find the path back to the Lover. Finding our way back home, we recognize the source from where we came. As guides in our journey, we have the experiences and the heritage that have been left to us by all that came before us. The dreams and desires of our ancestors were guided by a profound love that revealed the very secrets of transcendence and the universal code of creation.
This infinite source of love guides every moment of our journey and watches...

Nuestros ojos...

What loving mind, what infinite wisdom, what creative force could account for every detail that I perceive? What loving heart could look back with warmth and say, “you are forever loved and forever forgiven”. There is a joy that beats in my heart and makes my soul sing a melody I never heard before.
The web of life weaves a complex net that brings into focus every person and situation I perceive. I must wonder then, what mind, what heart, what force could care so much for me, that it would lovingly and carefully craft every detail for the sole purpose of helping me heal my wounded...

Are there times when joy is absent or do we choose to distance ourselves from our own bliss?
It is easy to get bogged down with all of the very real problems of the world. We live with the false notion that life is passing us by and we are not achieving what we expected. The feeling leaves us with a desperate need to work harder, to try harder, only to find that we feel tired, more afraid and fearful.
Today, I received a text from my dear friend telling me that this past Monday was Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year. This is, of course, a marketing myth created by a company...

Last week’s devastating earthquake in Haiti has had me glued to the internet. The images have been haunting and I am struck by the magnitude of such an event…in such a poor country. Current reports put the death toll at over 20,000 (sadly rising) with an estimated 300,000 people living on the street. I have been incredibly impressed with the outpouring of support from around the world. Millions of dollars have been raised through the simple act of sending a text message. Indeed, today’s instant communication venues through email, text messages, tweets and blogs facilitate an unprecedented...

The end of 2009 brought me many great homecomings. Within weeks, I had a wonderful presentation at the Copley Theater in my hometown of Aurora, IL. I presented my book, The Promise of the Fifth Sun at the International Book Festival in my birthplace of Guadalajara, Jalisco and I was also invited to present at my alma mater, East Aurora High School. Great friends and supporters have embraced the message contained in the “The Promise” and have written great reviews on Amazon. I deeply appreciate all of the comments and demonstrations of support. I am humbled by your stories of transformation...
